Bone Marrow transplant is needed.
A bone marrow transplant is needed to effectively treat Edik’s condition. Unfortunately, this operation is only performed in countries outside of Ukraine.
We have researched this procedure at hospitals around the world. The cost of this operation in Austria – the best option – is ˆ125,000.

Edik completed the 2nd course of block therapy.
Edik completed the second course of block therapy. Edik has successfully completed four months of grueling treatment. We hope to raise money so that, after the third course of block therapy, Edik can have the bone marrow transplant that will save his life.

Edik completed the second course of block therapy. Edik has successfully completed four months of grueling treatment. We hope to raise money so that, after the third course of block therapy, Edik can have the bone marrow transplant that will save his life.
On June, 10 we are flying to Moscow for Pozitrone Emmition tomography (PET) on the tumor in front mediastrum. It can’t be done in Ukraine, as there is no proper equipment. And again the usual Ukrainian hope that the foreign countries will help. If the PET shows that the residual tumor is not cancer it will mean that Edd is in complex remission and marrow transplantation may be done.
On Friday the Magnetic Resonance Tomography (MRT) of the brain will be also done. Some liquid was accumulating in Edd’s head and he suffered terrible headaches. So MRT will show what is wrong there. For the present being his state is rather stable. He even tries to find something positive in his illness. He is eager to go to Moscow, to see Red Square and even to see Lenin in the Mausoleum. Well children are children…
